We are a Chartered Accountants firm registered under the Companies Commission of Malaysia as a limited liability partnership. We are also a member firm under the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

All our firm partners are MIA members as well as qualified licensed auditors and tax agents.

As a Chartered Accountants firm, we provide audit, tax, accounting, liquidation, company valuation, advisory and other corporate services.

Our History

In 1997, our founding partner Mr. Lawrence Chong started the firm named T.M. Chong & Company. The office was located in a pre-war building next to St. Francis Church at Lorong Gereja, Melaka. He is a Chartered Accountants Australia member since 1976. He is also a MIA and CTIM member. Keeping the firm size small, the firm focused on providing personal and quality services in audit, tax, accounting & corporate services.

In 2007, his daughter Melisa Chong joined him at the firm and became a firm partner in 2014. Being a CPA Australia, MIA and CTIM member, she specialises in audit & tax and holds licenses in both fields.

In 2008, his son Phillip Chong joined the family business. He specialises in financial reporting & corporate services. He is a CPA Australia and MIA member.

In 2014, the firm converted to a limited liability partnership, now called T.M. Chong & Company PLT.

In 2019, the firm moved to the current office premise at Taman Mutiara Melaka, Batu Berendam. Staff and clients now enjoy wider office space, better parking facilities and a beautiful view of the river.
